Sanofi FP – Keeping the flu bug away

Dear All,

  • Sanofi is yielding about 4% and has pullback significantly from a recent high of $92.78
  • I personally think the region $68-70 will see investors providing support at those levels
  • Short time there might still be selling pressure towards $70 as there are some concerns over Sanofi’s dengue vaccine

Did you know?

  • Sanofi says they produce about 40% of the influenza vaccine worldwide
  • CDC US says “The timing of flu is very unpredictable and can vary in different parts of the country and from season to season. Seasonal flu viruses can be detected year-round; however, seasonal flu activity can begin as early as October and continue to occur as late as May. Flu activity most commonly peaks in the United States between December and March. For the 2016-2017 season, influenza-like-illness (ILI) in the United States went above baseline the week ending December 17, 2016 and remained elevated as of mid-March. The season has likely peaked.
  • Morningstar says: Despite insulin pricing pressure, Sanofi’s focus on steady business lines drives long-term growth.
  • Analysts says they think a fair consensus 12M price for Sanofi is $85.42
  • Personally I say have fun during the holidays but stay safe and healthy for 2018
